Ocean Ave/E 24 Street

This walk wasn't supposed to start where it did. I wanted to get off the train at Parkside Avenue, but the local I was on decided that it was going to go express from Prospect Park. It was one stop away, and I knew that I could walk the extra distance before the next local arrived -- and that's assuming that it wouldn't go express as well! So I had a few extra blocks down Ocean Avenue (NOT Ocean Parkway, which I mentioned in the video) before I cut over to E 21 St for a coule of blocks. At Church Ave, I shifted back over to Ocean Parkway. Finally, I took a left turn on Foster Ave, looped around to Flatbush Ave and Stephens Court before the start of E 24 St, which I took to Kings Highway. Walking along Ocean Ave, with its very old apartment buildings, I came across St. Mark's Episcopal Church at Beverly Road and this building at Newkirk Ave, which Google Maps tells me is a doctor's office. Columbia Waterfront District

To get to the Waterfront District, I needed to catch the G from work and take it to Smith Street. There's a bit of walk just to get to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. This portion is called, I believe, the trench. I always hated driving in there. Apparently, Google doesn't like it either because it always tells me to take the streets. However, when I do that, I obey traffic laws. Basically, here's the bridge that I needed to cross. And here are three images of the idiot driver who ran the red light and stopped in the crosswalk and left little room for me to get to the bridge. I did restrain myself from using anything in my bag as a club to smash a window, but mostly because I didn't want to break my stuff. I calmed down enough by the time that I got home that I didn't plaster these images across social media. But, hey, I can be petty.
