11th-18th Sts, 4th-5th Aves, Park Slope

Back to Park Slope to fill in more of the grid. If you noticed the odd starting point (not the G train station), I had to stop at Duffy's Funeral Home. Family matters kept me from walking for a while. And family matters made me want to walk more than ever. The walk was short as I'd already traversed many of the numbered streets between Fifth and Fourth Avenues when walking down the hill to the subway from the higher avenues toward the top of the slope. I started on 11th Street, not far from the last place I lived in Park Slope, decades ago. I'd be walking against traffic, and there always seems to be traffic when I want an establishing shot. The statue was in the front yard, the area that we used to call an "aerie" long before we knew how to spell that or even what the word actually meant. It was in the corner near the trash bins, so maybe they were getting rid of it. It's an interesting piece, to say the least. Next up were 12th and 13th Street...
