Canton Ave / Albemarle Road

This walk was under three miles long. It got dark quickly and I cut short what I'd been planned. As a result, more than half of this walk was over streets that I'd walked before. I basically made my way along Canton Ave to the Parade Grounds and then walked back on Albemarle Road. After that, I walked around the cemetery to get to the D train. I've seen these pillars before, but I don't know the first time that I realized that they had a monogram PPS, for Prospect Park South, which isn't a name that I remember hearing as a kid. On the other hand, the only other name I've heard for this area is "Ditmas Park", which I'm sure is a much newer name. Albemarle ends at Coney Island Ave. That's where I had to call it. It'd be amusing if it was outside just for fun even if I can't think of a good reason why. The post office on Utica Ave says Rugby Station, which I thought curious. The only street named Rugby I know is Rugby Road, which is miles away, south of Prospect Park. I did "Google...
