Side Trip: Udall's Cove Park Preserve

There isn't much to say about this one. I was out in Great Neck for a morning appointment, which finished early. I was looking for something to do or some place to go before I drove back to Brooklyn. A few parks came up, including Udall's Cove Park Preserve. I guess Udall's Cove is the name of the local area, but this park in surrounded by streets. You have Douglas Road and Sandhill Rd on two sides of a triangle and the LIRR cutting it off. I basically walked through twice, once looping around back to where I started and the second time, taking a different turn. I worried for half a minute that I was going to deep on dirt roads and that I might get turned around. That was ridiculous. I actually came to the entrance on the opposite side of the park. I did a U-turn, and walked back. In short, it was nice and pleasant to walk through, and short. Also, don't walk through it in shorts. I scratched my legs a bit. ...
