Bush / Coffey / Dikeman / Lorraine (Red Hook)
This time when I ventured into Red Hook, I took the subway to Smith-9th Streets, returning to the same station, instead of driving. I did check out the bus schedule, but I had enough streets to cover that walking was fine. I also had a side goal of stopping by Widow Jane, which the Internet told me was open, but only the store was open. No tours or tasting.
Since I didn't go exploring, or wander off along the shoreline, the walk was shorter than three miles, which was fine. If I remember correctly, it was going to be a warm day any way.
The trip begins with admiring the Lower Manhattan skyline. Smith-9th Street is the highest station in the subway station. You have to take two escalators and a step of stairs to get to the platform. There are no elevators at this time -- and if there ever are elevators, you're going to have to take multiple trips to get to the platform.
Crossing Hamilton Ave, I started down Bush Street, which infamously intersects with Clinton Street, which continues through a housing complex. There's no road for cars but the street is still named and there are addresses on the buildings. (I didn't stop to take pictures of these.)

Bush Street brought me to the intersection of Bush with Dwight Street and Oswego Street. I made a left onto Oswego, which I took to the end before backtracking to Coffey Street. I made it to Conover Street, and after a quick visit to Widow Jane, I was back up Dikeman Street.

I didn't make a note of where the bicycle was from and I can't find it on the map. From the order of the pictures somewhere between Dikeman and Lorraine.
I made a loop around a triangular block on the west side of Hamiltom before crossing over on Smith Street where I walked a small section that I hadn't walked before.
The final picture was the G train. It was one of those new "open car" trains where you can walk from back to front, which isn't too difficult because G trains are short, but I was only on for one block anyway.
