Short Walk: E31 - E32 Street, Marine Park
I came back to Brooklyn from Boston. It was a Monday, so a couple of the places I thought to stop at on th eway home were closed. (Monday is their Saturday or Sunday.) So I pulled off the road into Marine Park but I didn't walk very far. I don't remember if I was tired from all the driving or if it was already late and I wanted to get home. It could be either of those.
As such there are only a few pictures becaue I only walked a couple of streets and didn't go over 2 miles.
I did get a cool picture with Ronald McDonald somewhere along the way. I think I was still in Massachusetts.
And I stopped by my brother's old apartment building to pick up the mail on the way home. I dropped by his apartment as people were cleaning out the place, and I saw this copy of Knightmare Chess just sitting on the floor. I don't know where they found or how it happened to fall right where I could see it. I'm pretty sure that I gave that to him as a present many years ago. But considering that he probably had no one to play regular chess with (he taught me and at least one other of my brothers), it's not surprising that he never played this.

MY NEWEST BOOK IS OUTBurke's Lore Briefs: Yesterday's Villains, the following to Tomorrow's Heroes is now available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited. If Heroes who don't die live long enough to become the villain, what happens to Villains who live long enough? When do schemes of global conquest become dreams of a quiet place away from all those annoying people you once wanted to subjugate? And does anyone really want to rule over the world's ashes if it means we can't have nice things? | ![]() |
