Hegemen, Ave B, Beverley Rd, Cortelyou Rd, Tilden Ave, Regent Pl
This was my first time at the New Lots Ave station on the L train. I'm sure there were a couple of glances my way, wondering who is this guy and is he where he thinks he's supposed to be?
The walk starts on Junius Street, which brings me to the western side of Hegemen Ave, which is interrupted by a twist in Linden Blvd. The second photo shows where Hegemen splits from Linden.
The first few places I passed were Brownsville Playground and Veterans Triangle, followed by Osborn Playground. It's nice to see so many playgrounds.
Hegemen ends at E98 Street, curving to the north. There was no road south, so I backtracked to Amboy Street.
Amboy Street ends after one block when it hits Linden Blvd, and E 98 Street continues on again. I took E98 just long enough to reach Ave B.
Which school is this? I don't know. I don't remember. And Google Maps (and the Street View) isn't giving me any hints. There was one public school that I noticed online but this doesn't appear to be that building. In any case, I think I took this picture because that's what schools always used to look like.
Next to that is an image from Beverley Road, along with a picture of the street sign. I took this because, for some reason, in Brooklyn, there one street that is divided into Beverly Road and Beverley Road, with an extra "e". Google Maps is showing the extra e for the entire length, but I will not that on the 2/5 train station, there are only two "e"s. As far as I remember, the old Beverly Theater also only had two "e"s.
I believe this triangular plot of land is the merger of E55 St and Kings Highway. After that, there was a statue in front of a house that caught my eye. Finally, Beverley gets interrupted by the cemetery. I walked around to Cortelyou Road.
Cortelyou Road took me around the cemetery to Brooklyn Ave. There was a tiny piece of Beverley in front of the cemetery, and then I did a 180 and continued on my way.
I overshot where I was I going to and had to double back. I needed to get up to the part of Tilden Ave that I hadn't walked yet. Just before Bedford Ave, I walked up and down a couple of one-block streets that I didn't walk the time that I walked Albemarle Road. In this case, Lott and Oakland. Finally (after a detour to get coffee on Flatbush), I walked the two blocks of Regents Place before heading to the Q train.

And that's it for this trip. Come back soon.
