Harrison / Porter / Thames / Vandervoot / Noll / George / Varet

There's another video farther down when I hit a certain street with a fun name. In the meantime . . .

This was another late start day for me -- I was still on early schedule for testing, but I didn't need to be in early for anything, so I got my walk in before school started.

The trip started getting off the Morgan Ave station on the L train at the Boart Ave exit. There's a building here as opposed to just a staircase on the Morgan Ave side. The second picture was taken by accident -- I left it in because it amuses me. Also, why is there no sky? I no that it's January and there are clouds, but still, the background seems too white! The third picture is Harrison Place, which I took to the end at Varick Place.

From Varick, I walked up to Johnson Ave so that I could swing around to the start of Porter Ave. I took this to the end at Flushing Ave. Walking east, I got to a crazy "five points" intersection, which is where Thames Street started (second image). A couple blocks down, I came to the intersection of Thames with Vandervoot Place, a block-long street connecting Thames to Flushing (third photo, first photo, next row).

Across Flushing is the beginning of Noll Street, which I followed down to Central Ave before circling back on George Street.

Knickbocker brought me back to Thames -- overlapping a section I'd just walked minutes earlier. Thames ended at Bogart St. I shuffled south a little to get to Varet Street (second photo), which ran two blocks to Bushwick Ave. A few blocks north finally got me to work -- after a lot of back and forth and looping around -- with a few minutes to myself before I had to move my time card

And that's it for this trip. Come back soon.

All of the above photos and videos, unless otherwise stated, were taken by Christopher J. Burke and are subject to copyright.

MY NEWEST BOOK IS AVAILABLE NOW!

Burke's Lore Briefs: Yesterday's Villains, the following to Tomorrow's Heroes is now available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.

If Heroes who don't die live long enough to become the villain, what happens to Villains who live long enough? When do schemes of global conquest become dreams of a quiet place away from all those annoying people you once wanted to subjugate? And does anyone really want to rule over the world's ashes if it means we can't have nice things?

My older books include three more books in my Burke's Lore Briefs series, and the anthologies A Bucket Full of Moonlight and In A Flash 2020.

Vampires, werewolves, angels, demons, used-car salesmen, fairies, superheroes, space and time travel, and little gray aliens talking to rock creatures and living plants.

Plus pirates, spies, horror, and kindergarten noir!

If you enjoy my books, please consider leaving a rating or review on Amazon or on Good Reads. Thank you!
