Piling Street / Marion Street / Utica Ave

Continuing on the adventures from a couple days earlier, I was back at the Wilson Avenue L station, next to Holy Cross Cemetery, and walking down Moffat Street. This time, I turned left on Evergreen Avenue, and walked it to the end. Despite what the map said, there was no North on Piling Street, only south. It ran two more blocks until I reached Broadway.

So Piling Street is only three blocks long, between the cemetery and Broadway and it gets cut off by a subway (which goes back underground) creating a dead end without even a pedestrian bridge.

I forgot to take a photo at Broadway because, honestly, I was there so quickly that I forgot. After that, I scooched over a bit to Marion Stret.

I saw this and needed to get a picture of it. A little daring to build out like that. It definitely stands out.

And that brings me to Marion Hopkinson Playground, which I assume is named for the patron of Marion Street.

Off through a different playground to get back to Marion Street.

One more playground, this one named for Jackie Robinson. I made sure to get the flags in the background.

Techically, Maron St ends at Malcolm X Blvd, but that street ends a few feet later at Fulton. And becomes Utica Ave. I either forgot to take a picture or I didn't hit the button. Possible reasons could include wanting a couple of slices of pizza, which I took to go and ate as I walked down Utica Ave.

I took a picture of the 77th Precinct wall for giggles. I've passed a number of precinct houses, as well as fire houses, in my travels.

After that, it was the subway on Eastern Parkway. And, yes, I shot a couple more videos for a couple more books.
