Another pre-walk walk that had me retracing old ground to get to a handful of streets that were skipped on previous outings. Out of the almost 1.6 miles in this trip, I'd likely walked more than half of this before. And since this was before walk, there was little incentive to walk farther and more incentive to get to school a little early. You might notice the Williamsburgh Bank Building (with an "h"), aka One Hanson Place (also with an "H"), and think "That's not Bushwick!" And you'd be correct. Once again, the trains were messed up. There was going to be a 10-15 minute wait during morning rush hours for an R train to take me two stops. So I got out at Atlantic Ave to walk to the C train. The joke was on me though. I found the "G" train, no problem. I thought about riding back a stop for the C, but there was a bit of a wait time there as well. So I took and turn and went for the C ... except I took a wrong turn...

I'm almost finished with Bed-Stuy as I make my way to Broadway Junction. I'm saying Eastern Parkway for warmer weather and more daylight (after work) because I'd like to see if I can walk it in one shot. The last four roads that I had to zig-zag were MacDougal, Hull, Somers, and Truxton. They's at such an acute angle that I walked quite a bit down Fulton street to get from one road to the next. All together, it was only about 15 blocks, not counting Fulton, DeSales, and Sackman Street. The map shows a side street between DeSales and Eastern Parkway, but it's a road through a parking lot and not a proper street. There are sidewalks are each end and no street name. First off, walking to the Dead End with Holy Cross Cemetery beyond it covered in snow. Then about face for the two blocks to Broadway. I don't know why I looked up at Broadway but I noticed an overhead track coming to an end which s...

The screenshot says "plus a mile for glitches", which usually means that the app was not recording when I thought it was recording. Odds are (and I'm working from memory and logic) that I got off the train at the Nassau Ave G train station on Manhattan Ave and then walked to Msgr. McGolrick Park and turned north. And THEN I realized that I wasn't recording. Actually, I just checked the video (which I can't do in preview mode -- I had to go back to the hard drive), and I was walking on Nassau Ave. You can also see a diagonal line that runs through buildings. The app was paused but not unpaused until some time later. The two-way street to start off should be Nassau Ave, followed by Msgr. McGolrick Park and Paul Clinton Garden (which does not seem to appear on Google Maps, so I'm not exactly sure where it is now. I'd have to guess on Russell St.) North on Russell St, east on Messerole, and then south on North Henry Str...
