Nostrand, New York Ave, Park Place, Underhill, Carroll St

I've been down this stretch of Nostrand Ave before, but it was a quicker ride from work on the G train that the last couple of attempts to take to L to Broadway Junction and the A back to Nostrand. I walked an extra 12 blocks but I still made better time. Thankfully, the entire walk was under four miles.

The worst part was that I was meeting someone at Grand Army Plaza to purchase something, and I thought I'd have plenty of time to get there. I had to hustle for the last 6 or 8 blocks or so.

The first picture is the beginning of New York Avenue, which I only took until I reached Park Place, another street that I needed to complete in Prospect Heights. But on the way I crossed Atlantic Ave and found myself at a staircase to get to the LIRR. I wonder how much it would be from here to the Atlantic terminal. After that, a few interesting buildings.

A lot of great-looking houses on Park Place, each set a little different from the previous bunch.

Since I was running late, I texted the person I was meeting and quick-stepped to Grand Army Plaza, so I didn't have time to stop for more photos. Pity.

Once I got to Carroll Street, it was all downhill, so to speak. The only two shots I took were when I was passing the Old First Church (once home to the Gallery Players, but I believe they moved out of that space years ago), and when I saw the colorfully painted houses, which stood out from the usual brown. Thankfully, none of them are Pepto-Bismol pink.

And that's it until next time. Except for the usual schpiel about my books:
