Eastern Parkway
Not long ago, I started walking past Fulton Street, with its A train, and made it to Eastern Parkway, which has the 3 train. It's only a few blocks farther and the IRT is more convenient as it goes to Barclays where I can transfer for other trains.
I knew that at some point when the weather was nicer, I was going to walk the entire length of Eastern Parkway. The funny thing is that by the time I actually did this, I'd walked at least half of it already! But I still walked it end to end, and then around Grand Army Plaza to the train. Over four miles.
Unfortunately, I had app problems so the first half or so didn't get recorded, but I have pictures of the route, so that's my "proof".
As I said in the video, there is a one-block dead end street outside the cemetery, Vanderveer St. On the other side of Bushwick Ave from there is the start of Eastern Parkway, which runs southeast and then east for four miles.

On many of my walks, the LIRR is elevated about Atlantic Ave. By Saratoga Ave, the LIRR has gone underground. Now, at Eastern Parkway, Atlantic Ave is elevated so the LIRR tracks can reemerge from underground. There's a station at East New York Ave where Atlantic Ave intersects with the L train.

Continuing on, I passed Our Lady-Presentation & Loreto Church at St. Marks Ave. And a few blocks later at Saratoga Ave, I passed a couple of actual pay phones. Sadly, neither one had a handset in the cradle. Brownsville community garden followed. Something was going on there, so I took a quick picture and moved on.

Finally got to the point where the Parkway turns east, which is the only part I've ever really walked. I found that elusive Franklin Ave Shuttle entrance. (Google Maps once sent me to the wrong block where there wasn't an entrance.)
I've taken pictures of the Brooklyn Museum, the Botanic Gardens and the library in other trips, so I didn't do that here, but I did take a picture of Grand Army Plaza in the distance when I knew the end was near!
