E 37 / E 38 / Ryder / Kimball Sts
Easter Break is under way, and I'm off to Marine Park to fill in a few more blocks on the map as I move closer and closer to Kings Plaza.
The first two streets were E 37-38 Streets between Fillmore and Kings Highway. After that, I wanted to go a little farther, so I walked Ryder and Kimball bewtween Quentin Road and Avenue U.
This was a pretty straightforward walk for the morning... with some unusual sights. I started by heading north-west on E 37 until I hit Flatlands Ave. The streets of Marine Park are at an angle to the streets of East Midwood, and as a result, I was suddenly on E 36 Street because the streets on either side of Flatlands don't exactly line up. (You should see what happens to the avenues!)
I'm not exactly sure what this decoration is supposed to be -- something from Halloween, dressed up for Christmas, that I photographed in April and posted in May. I wonder if I checked tomorrow if it'd still be there.
Once I hit Kings Highway, I walked over to East 37 Street, which would become E 38 Street once I crossed over Flatlands Ave.
Final four photos:
Ryder Street heading northwest, and then Kimball St going southeast. There was one house that I needed to photograph, not for its architecture, but for its Easter decorations.
These three videos I took to post on Instagram and possibly Tik Tok, separate from the posts with all these pictures.
And that's it for this trip. Come back soon.
